Nupur Oza received her Physical Therapy degree from MS University in 1989. Nupur Oza has been a practicing Physical Therapy for over 30 years. She has been working in almost all Physical Therapy settings. Nupur has worked from acute care hospitals, rehabilitation/physical medicine facilities, to outpatient orthopaedic and sports medicine facilities. Finally, She founded Proactive Physical Therapy in 2007. The ultimate goal was “Compassionate Care with Outstanding Results”.

She uses her Advanced Manual Therapy Skills, Patient Education and Electrotherapy for tissue healing as her guiding principles for all musculoskeletal injuries. She teaches her patients Ergonomics and Postural alignment for the workplace and home. She utilizes a holistic approach to patient care and is highly influenced by her extensive yoga practice. Her knowledge in her treatment approach is also based on that. She emphasizes the same approach for breath control, postural alignment, and flexibility in designing a personalized care plan for her patients.

Nupur is a Certified Yoga Instructor (CYI) as well as a certified Clinical Instructor (CI) to train and mentor student physical therapists. She continues to advance her knowledge though continuing education. She does it by keeping up with evidence based physical therapy practices through attending conferences, seminars and keeping up with current research.

Her passion for physical therapy and patient care comes through from the moment you meet her. She is an avid hiker, loves biking with her husband, and spending time with her two kids.

Recently, California Physical Therapy Association (CPTA) conference in 2018 accepted her clinical case study “Effects of multi-modal therapy involving spinal mobilization and core muscle activation to improve functional outcomes and decrease musculoskeletal pain”.
