alt text Nupur received her physical therapy degree from MS University in 1989. Nupur has been a practicing Physical Therapy for the past 30 years, working in almost all Physical Therapy settings, from acute care hospitals, rehabilitation/physical medicine facilities, to outpatient orthopedic and sports medicine facilities. She founded Proactive Physical Therapy in 2007 with the ultimate goal of providing “Compassionate Care with Outstanding Results”. She uses her Advanced Manual Therapy Skills, Patient Education and Electrotherapy for tissue healing as her guiding principle for all musculoskeletal injuries. She teaches her patients Ergonomics and Postural alignment for the workplace and home. She uses a holistic approach to patient care and is highly influenced by her extensive yoga practice and knowledge in her treatment approach. She emphasizes the same approach for breath control, postural alignment, flexibility in designing a personalized care plan for her patients. She is a certified Yoga instructor as well as a certified Clinical Instructor (CI) to train student physical therapists. She continues to advance her knowledge though continuing education, keeping up with evidence based physical therapy through her journals and attending conferences. Her passion for physical therapy and patient care comes through from the you meet her. She is an avid hiker, loves biking with her husband, and spending time with her two kids.

Nupur Oza-Licensed Physical Therapist (PT), Director of PT

alt text Nibha received her Masters in Physical Therapy (MPT) from Massachusetts General Hospital Institute of Health Professions in Boston, MA. She has experience both outpatient and inpatient settings. She has treated patients with chronic pain conditions, pre and post operative care, postural dysfunctions, repetitive stress injuries, low back pain and neck pain, just to name a few. Nibha is dedicated to evidence-based practice for optimal patient care. She believes in treating the body as a whole and not just treating the injury. She is extremely compassionate about her work and a strong believer in “mind over matter”. When she is not working, Nibha enjoys spending time with family and friends. She is always looking for ways to further education and to stay current with the research

Nibha-Licensed Physical Therapist (PT)

alt text Akanksha has been practicing Physical Therapy with experience of more than 3 years as an Outpatient Physical Therapist. She received her Masters in Clinical Exercise Physiology from Texas A&M. She is a certified Orthopedic Specialist (OCS) with the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and Certified Manual Physical Therapist (CMPT) with the Northern American Institute of Orthopedic Manual Therapy (NAIOMT) as well as a Certified Clinical Instructor (CI) with APTA. She has also completed the Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA) course for performing movement screening. She has experience in treating wide variety of musculoskeletal conditions and sports injuries. She enjoys working with patients and believes in examining and treating the associated dysfunctions with the injury. She is interested in Racquet sports and was part of sports program development for Tennis with Medstar sports medicine. She is currently pursuing a Fellowship in Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy through the Northern American Institute of Orthopedic Manual Therapy (NAIOMT) which helps her to constantly update and improve patient care. Outside of the clinic, she enjoys painting and hiking.

Akanksha Sojitra-PT, OCS, CMPT (PT)

alt text Lenaisa was born and raised in the Philippines. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science majoring in Visual Basic and Java program in 2004. Additionally, she is also a Certified Nursing Assistant as well as Medical Billing and Coding. She has worked with autistic patients and in-home patients in a facility setting. With more than 7 years of experience in healthcare and working in the billing and coding sectors, she makes the patient’s needs her priority and assists in whatever questions or concerns they may have with treatment. In her free time, she loves to cook, travel, spend time with family and friends, and learn about different cultures and cuisines.

alt text Corey Ho is a student at San Jose State University studying Kinesiology. An aspiring physical therapist, he is passionate about sports and fitness. Corey is a scholar athlete, playing rugby for SJSU and recreational basketball in his free time.

She has worked with many different demographics of patients in hospital and outpatient settings helping motivate them to getting stronger and more confident in their movements. Her passion is geared towards holistic health where understanding how the mind and body can work harmoniously together to improve each individual’s quality of life after an injury.
